How do you identify problems? In this video you will meet Digby Rayward, District Vet for Hunter Local Land Services. He explains the process of identifying problems in his field of work which involves collecting blood samples for the National Arbovirus Monitoring Program from the dairy herd at Tocal College. A new group of heifers is sampled every year and tested monthly to see if the virus has been transmitted. Overall, there is approximately 40 sentinel herds and eight of those herds are monitored in the Hunter.
What is project management? This video features Peter Gillespie, Curator of Scientific Collections at the Orange Agricultural Institute and Ainsley Seago, Technical Manager of the Insect Collection. Discover more about the Scientific Collection of the NSW Department of Primary industries – a historic and valuable record of pests and diseases found in NSW since the 1800’s. Peter Gillespie, Curator of Scientific Collections at the Orange Agricultural Institute and Ainsley Seago, Technical Manager of the Insect Collection. This video explains why the collection is so important, how it was set up to assist agriculture and how the collection is managed.
How do you start the process of developing solutions to problems?
